Difference between Animal Cell and Plant Cell

Animal cell: The size of animal cell ranges from a few micrometers to few millimeters, the largest animal cell is the egg of the ostrich which the size of more than 5 inches and weighs almost 1.4 kg. The shapes of animal cells is different and may be of the shapes curved, concave, spherical or rectangular. Most of the animal cells are of microscopic size therefore they can be seen through the microscope.

The animal cell is a eukaryotic cell that has a well-defined nucleus and other cell organelles. The nucleus and all other cell organelles are bounded by a membrane. All cell organelles have specific functions resulting in the proper functioning of the cell.

The cell organelles present in the animal cell are cell membrane, nucleus, nuclear membrane, centrosome, lysosomes, cytoplasm, Golgi apparatus, mitochondria, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, vacuoles, and nucleopores.

Plant Cell: All features of the plant cell are the same except it contains chloroplast and has a cell wall.
